Mastopexy (Breast Lift)

A mastopexy or breast lift is a surgical procedure that aims to raise and shape the breast. It is based on the realization of a series of surgical incisions that allow correct excessive sagging of the breast, lifting and correcting its volume and appearance.

The intervention is to raise the chest, reshape the breast and place the nipple-areola complex in a higher position, for this, it is necessary to remove excess skin and adapt to breast volume that will be, considering that:

1. When the mammas have poor glandular tissue, you must consider the placement of implants that will add volume.
2. If there is a good amount of breast tissue, mastopexy is performed exclusively by removing excess skin and reshaping the breast.
3. When excessive breast volume is associated with the removal of fatty-glandular breast tissue (reduction mammoplasty).
